Now then, my opinions
BUSH LIED ABOUT WMD
Who actually believe that Bush actually verified all those statements about there being WMD in Iraq and all the intelligence data? Those reports and data was from many sources and agencies. Much of it came from Sadam himself.
This fantasy was concocted by the Democratic party because they have held control of the government for so long they have no idea how to run a political campaign. All they know how to do is to try to discredit Bush. many Democrats that had access to the same inelegance as Bush did also supported the war against terrorism and said we should go after Sadam, Now that it is election time they change their story to gain the election. You don't hear them bringing up all the Democrats that supported taking out Sadam. If Bush lied, then so did they.
They do not realize the best way to defeat Bush is to come up with a better way to fight terrorism and provide a safety net for the country against terrorism. So far not one single Democrat has come up with a better plan. As a matter of fact None of the democrats have done anything to advance the war against terrorism other than to try to knock down the plan we have now. The result would be to open the borders to terrorists until we have daily bus bombings in every city of the country.
ELECTIONS
Everybody elects the president or any other elected official for that matter. It doesn't matter who you voted for or even if you voted. As a citizen of this country you are a part of the voting process. If you chose not to vote you are saying that you will abide by what everybody else decides is the best choice. Once the president is elected you have no right to complain because you put him there. Unless you have something to say that will end up in a recall, anything you say that is contrary to what the government says or does is nothing more than trying to undermine the government and weaken it because the government had to reply to your bitching instead of doing what you elected it to do.
FREEDOM OF RELIGION
The freedom of religion means I can practice any form of religion I want to or not at all. I choose my religious views from numerous religions. Because of that my views differ from most everyone so I don't try to push my views on you and you had better not try to push yours on me. I don't care if your version will save me from hell and mine will send me to hell. If I see something in how you live your life that draws my attention to you I will ask you about it. You don't need to tell me about it.
GAY MARRIAGE
If somebody wants to be married in the eyes of their God, that is between them and God. No man or government has the rite to stop it.
By our Constitution, the government is required to separate itself from religion in ALL ways. If you take religion and God out of gay marriage there is not reason for it not to happen. You might rite away say there is a reason but it all goes back to religion unless you are just an anti gay and do not want gays to have any rights at all. This also is not legal in the eyes of the government because our constitution says "all men are created equal". Now you can take this to the literal extent and say it doesn't say anything about women, Well, women also have equal everything in this country. Any lawmaker that voted this only for men and not women would be committing political suicide. You see, when you take God out of it there is no case.
Further more, This subject is not something for the constitution at all. If so all out traffic laws would have to be included in the constitution as well as every law in the country for that matter.
Stuff like this is to be left up to the individual states to determine. They too must not consider God in their decision where again there is no case without God.
GOD
You can call him anything you want to. I believe there is a supreme power that made all this possible. This planet didn't just happen to be just the rite distance from the sun in an orbit that did not take it too far away or too close to destroy life. It didn't just happen to not being hit by some errant astroid that would destroy it. It didn't just happen to have the rite combination of gasses, animals and plants to support life.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
Illegal immigration has gotten completely out of hand. There are some pluses and some negatived about this subject. First of all they don't work for slave wages. Many of them work for $10 an hour and up. Where the problem is, Americans WON"T do this type of work. If Americans were all that was available to do the work our farm products at the grocery store would skyrocket up in prices. We do need these people.
What I don't like about it is that those who do come here illegally are getting the same benefits that the legal immigrants get. I they come illegally, there is a reason they can't come here legally. If we send the back they return in a week. If they come illegally, don't issue them a drivers license. Don't give them welfare. If they get welfare they can send more money out of the country and live on food stamps and welfare. Don't give them tax refunds. No free medical care, NOTHING AT ALL. Make it beneficial for them to come legally. Those who do come legally should have an easier time getting their papers to work. If they do come illegally, then let them pay for the privilege.
MOHAMMAD THE TEDDY BEAR
If it wasn't so sad, I would almost have to laugh at the Mohammad the teddy bear issue in Sudan where a British teacher allowed her 7 year old students to name the class Teddy Bear Mohammad. First she is arrested and sentenced to jail for two weeks while the people of Sudan demanded she be sentenced to death.
This is an obvious case of kill the infidel and nothing less.
First off she didn't name the teddy bear, her students did. Why aren't these people demanding the kids be sentenced to death? Why not sentence the parents to death for not teaching their children better than to name a teddy bear Mohammad? What about the parents who named their children Mohammad?
What is so bad about naming the teddy bear Mohammad anyhow? They say the teddy bear is an Idol !!! What if she had told the kids they could not name the teddy bear Mohammad? I can just Imagine how that would have gone.
Islam is supposed to be a peaceful and loving religion isn't it? Where is the peace and love here? Remember the big deal after the cartoons about Islam and the return cartoons by Islamic artists?
Speaking about the peace and love in Islam, where are all those Muslims who SAY that Islam is peace and love? Why are they not speaking out and proving it? You spoke out when saying that, why are you not saying it now?
OH, by the way, I just renamed my dog Mohammad.
NASA FUNDING.
A lot of people don't like the billions of dollars spent by NASA in space exploration. First off the country that controls space controls the planet. Look at China now. They have entered the space race. They plan to put a man on the moon. They are not doing it for any reason other then to gain an upper hand in the control of space. We need the first base on the moon and we need a base on Mars too.
Not only that, but every dollar spent by NASA in research and development comes back 7 fold as taxes for the products that find their way to the store shelves such as night vision and microwave ovens (See "tax breaks for big business" below). I say let NASA have every dime they want.
PHONE SOLICITORS
They are the spamers of Ma Bell. Yes they have the right to speak their shit but they don't have the right to be heard by me. I don't care if it puts people out of work. Let them starve. I'll tell you rite up front, if you are a phone solicitor I will ask you for pictures of your mother doing the family dog. I will insult you, abuse you and treat you like the shit you are. That is my right and like you I don't have the right to be heard by you. You can hang up any time you want.
SATTILLITE SPYING ON THE PUBLIC
There seems to be some controversy on satellites used to spy on the public. As far as I am concerned, if you are dumb enough to do a crime out on the streets, you deserve to get caught. Police could backtrack from a crime and follow the criminal to his house where he left from that morning. The illegal aliens crossing the border could be followed and agents dispatched to their hiding place. If it was already operational we could find out what happened to the WMD's in Iraq that were supposed to have gone across the border ... if in fact that is what happened to them.
Now then, some of the bad points.
They say the system would be operated under existing laws which are open ended and do not fit this technology. New laws could be made in the future and also lets not forget that we have the technology to look through walls. There is also the fact that hackers have accessed banks and government computers. No system is perfect and there is always the chance a government employee could use the system for his own personal reasons. Now we got a problem.
I don't believe in conspiracies like the government is spying on us. I do believe that it is human nature to abuse any system. That has to be looked into. I also believe that they shouldn't be able to look inside the house without a reason. As far as I am concerned, if they think I am doing something, they don't need a search warrant, but if they are looking in my house trying to see if I am doing anything illegal, that is another story all together. There is a big difference.
I am not a big proponent of new laws. We have plenty now if we used them properly. However, with new technology we do need new laws such as in cloning.
I am all for the system as long as they can't look into a house and new laws are enacted. As long as what they see is outdoors nobody can expect to have privacy. Yes there is street crime, but that is what the system is for. If you sunbathe in the back yard nude, well then, tough, either deal with it or go to a tanning salon or wear clothes A white ass is not going to affect your lifestyle. If you want to show it off qat the nudist camp, get the tan there.
SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE
I believe in separation of church and state. Nothing religious should be displayed on public property. I also believe that any preacher, priest or any other representative of any religion should also follow this. They should not speak on political views in the church. Their job is saving souls. If they are preaching politics then they are not doing their job.
TAXES
I have no gripe about the taxes I pay. For the paltry amount of $50 or so a week I get to live in the biggest and best country in the world. I can come and go as I please, have a nice house and car, worship as I please, feel safe in the streets, have a voice in the government and be anything I want to be if I am willing to work for it. I think everybody should pay an equal percentage of their income in taxes because if you make more money, then you are getting more "THINGS" and getting more benefit of what we have here.
TAX BREAKS FOR BIG BUSINESS
I think the big oil companies and other big businesses should pay NO TAXES at all. The more they make, the more they invest and the more people they hire who pay taxes. The trucking companies pay highway taxes, The stores that sell the products pay taxes and the person who buys the product pays sales tax. In exchange for this they should be required to not contribute money to political campaigns or they would loose their tax exempt status.
TERRORISM
If you support terrorism, terrorist countries or any organization that supports terrorism then you are a terrorist too. Either you fight terrorism or you are a terrorist. There is no middle ground here.
US INVOLVEMENT IN WORLD AFFAIRS
We didn't ask to be the policemen of the world. The world made us that. They did that when they let their country get out of hand and uncontrollable so it could not function. Then they could not feed it's people or keep law and order. They can feel free to ask for food and help getting the country under control BUT if we do, you better get your ass in gear and straighten out the problems that made it necessary to ask our help in the first place or we will do it for you so we don't have to feed you forever. We do not accept dictators. We are a free country. If any country tries to take that away from us we will do whatever is necessary to maintain that freedom. If you attack us you will be dealt with. Personally I feel that if this becomes necessary, then we should be reimbursed by the affected country for our expenses. At the moment we are rebuilding the entire country of Iraq including it's economy. We are even paying the wages of the people. We should not have to fork over all this money so you can profit from it and we get nothing in return. We should be reimbursed in some way. If you do not agree with that then you should be sure not to make it necessary for us to come bail you out.
